Hey, my name is Emma
The Heart + Soul behind Poppy + Rose Photography.
I’m a wife, a mum, and a local to the Gladstone Region who believes the little in-between moments are often the most beautiful ones — the giggles, the quiet glances, the way your people hold on tight. That’s the magic I love to capture.
Based in Gladstone CQ, I spend my days juggling life with kids, a few too many animals (haha, but I wouldn’t have it any other way), and a whole lot of tea. Photography has always been my way of slowing down, noticing the details, and turning fleeting moments into memories you can hold forever.
I work with natural light and a relaxed, storytelling style. That means no stiff poses or forced smiles — just gentle guidance, a comfortable space, and plenty of fun along the way. Whether it’s a wedding, a family session, or a milestone moment, my goal is for your photos to feel as real and love-filled as the day itself.
A Few Things About Me
• I’m happiest with a coffee in one hand and a camera in the other.
• I have horses and far too many animals — and yes, they’re family too.
• Mum life keeps me busy, but it also reminds me every day why preserving memories matters so much.
• When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll often find me crocheting, planning adventures, or enjoying the simple, quiet moments with my family.
Let’s Make Something Beautiful Together!
If you’re dreaming of photos that feel natural, timeless, and true to you, I’d be honoured to tell your story.

My approach

I believe the best wedding photos come from letting the day unfold naturally. My role is to document what's happening as it happens with support where needed, without over-directing or staging moments that don't feel like you.
I'll step in when guidance is needed - for portraits, family photos or timing and stepping back during the real in-between moments. This balance allows your wedding day to feel natural and unforced, while still being well documented.
The result is a collection of images that reflect how your day actually felt, not just how it looked.
